Summer Maintenance Checklist

Road trip season is here, so it’s important to make sure your car’s in good shape before you hit the road. A bit of prep and servicing may reduce the impact that sweltering summer heat can have on your vehicle.

Here are a few items our partners at The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) recommend checking before hitting the open road. For a complete list of tips, click here.

Air Conditioning

To ensure a cool, comfortable drive, you may want to have your system examined by a qualified technician.

Oil

Check your owner's manual to be sure you're keeping up on changing your oil and oil filter.

Windshield Wipers

Be ready for rain by replacing worn blades and ensuring plenty of windshield washer solvent.

Tires

Before setting out on your adventure, you'll want to check your tire pressure and ensure your spare and jack are in good condition, just in case.

Emergencies

Be prepared by packing an emergency kit including items like a first aid kit and a flashlight.
